Blue Chip Leadership

How is Blue Chip different from other on campus experiences?

Blue Chip Leadership is a nationally renowned foundational engagement program at the University of Arizona, and is different from a student club. Rather than being in a position which requires you to lead without being taught, Blue Chip is designed to help you focus on developing yourself as a leader by teaching you about leadership and helping you enhance your leadership skills.

How does Blue Chip fulfill the University’s Engagement Initiative?

The Blue Chip Leadership Experience is designed to prepare you professionally by providing you with opportunities that help you enhance the leadeship skills that employers desire. According to the 2016 NACE Job Outlook Survey, the top two skills employers are looking for on a resume are Leadership and Teamwork, both of which Blue Chip teaches.

These costs add up to $600 per student per year. Through other supporting partnerships, we are able to offer Blue Chip to you at a subsidized rate of $375.
